Meet Our Team

Pippa Kay - Workshop Coordinator

Pippa Kay has written three books. The most recent, Keeping it in the Family, published by Ginninderra Press, won the Society of Women Writers Fiction Award in 2018.

Pippa has been a member of the Society of Women Writers since 1995, when she won the 70th Anniversary Award for her short story called Replay, which was subsequently published with other shortlisted entries in No Thanks or Regrets (State Library of NSW Press).

Pippa has been successful in other competitions run by the SWW, including the 90th Anniversary Non-Fiction prize.

Currently, Pippa is Workshop Coordinator for SWW, a job she enjoys because she gets to meet so many talented and interesting writers.

She is also a member of The Common Thread Writers, who meet most Thursday nights, to give each other encouragement and support.

Sailing is her other passion and she edits the Mainsheet, a monthly newsletter for the Coastal Cruising Club of Australia.
