The inspiration for this story was my grandson, Alex who as a little boy had a fascination with fire engines and firefighters.
The story which developed in my imagination was of a special boy, born under the zodiac sign of Leo (ruled by the sun) with the name, Alexander, which means ‘Defender of Mankind’.
It is a work of fiction about a boy who has superpowers.
The main message of the story is not only about fire safety but also about kindness. Alex is not just a hero, he is also kind and humble. Having superpowers does not necessarily make you a kind person. Alex cares about everyone and wants to use his powers for good.
