Margaret Zanardo is a Sydney poet, writer and graphic designer. She has a background in languages, art and English literature. In recent years, she has tutored in high school English and creative writing, and edited academic papers.
It was on a whim that Margaret decided to take a writing course and she started by writing short stories, before discovering the joys of poetry and becoming an ‘accidental poet’.
Her work – mythology poems, humorous, children’s and contemplative poems, and love poems – has been published in a number of poetry journals.
Margaret’s first poetry book, Time Out of Mind, was published by Ginninderra Press in December 2019. It is a chapbook, a collection of twenty poems on love and loss.
Her second chapbook, Against the Tide, was written during COVID and published by Ginninderra in March 2021.
